Childhood Obesity Health Risks

We have now a serious epidemic of childhood obesity in America more than 15% of children are obese and the potential healthy risks that they will suffer now and in the future are severe, their life expectancy is reduced by 5 years, so what are we going to do about this?

Before i get into the health risks, i want to point that there needs to be a common goal in your community to unite efforts in to a campaign to reduce and educate about this epidemic. You should ask your local authorities to give childhood obesity grants.

But why should you worry about this? Simple because the health problems of children with obesity are very severe, in just a few years they could be experiencing diabetes, cancer, high blood pressure even health attacks.

There are 2 things that need to be done, we need to treat all our children with weight problems and we should prevent our child from getting obese, by following a clear plan for balanced meals and physical activities.

There are other mental health risks like low self esteem, depression and serious emotional problems. Our child dont have a proper understanding of why obesity happens to them, parents should educate them and give them the proper nutrition.

If we as parents fail to treat our children and prevent further obesity problems, this child in his adolescents will have serious mental health problems, due to the many activities and relationships that he will have problems with.

Childhood obesity health risks reduce the life expectancy of our kids, a child with type 2 diabetes will suffer from the consequences for the rest of his life, but he didnt know any better, we have to teach them, educate them and give them the proper nutrition, also teachers in schools should encourage physical activities and nutrition.

Encourage your child to practice Sports and Take him with his friends to play

Avoid eating too much Sugar, if you child eats too much sugar or junk foods and watchs TV all day, he will get obese.
