Childhood Obesity Pictures |
I was looking at some sites for pictures of childhood obesity an i found some interesting things, that are a little shocking but they are true. Obesity in children is becoming an epidemic and we should take care of our kids if we want to avoid serious health problems in the future.
Here is what i found, i wen to images.google.com and searched for "childhood obesity pictures", i got several results of images, some are advertisements to prevent obesity, others are children with serious problems of obesity and other images are tables and statistics of the growth of this problem in the United States.
One of the images is a graph detailing how in the last 20 years the percentage of obese children with ages 6 to 11 have more than double. This tell us a lot about how we are eating not just our kids but our society, mostly due to fast food and junk food.
I then went to a site called flickr.com to search for more pictures and there are some shocking pictures of obese children that are in a serious health problem. One of those pics is from a tv show where a child called Jessica of 5 years old has a body weight of 230 LBS, she weight more than 5 times the average 5 years old kid.
Im sure she is not the only one, there are thousands of kids with this issue and is first responsibility of the parents to encourage good eating habits, especially when the child is still young. We have to avoid fast food, that is not just making us fat, but hurting our body defenses, thus creating more illnesses.
Do your own research and you will found some interesting facts, you can also go to youtube.com and find many videos that tell you the problem with childhood obesity and shows you different pictures.
